What about FREE Shipping?

We ship UPS 3-Day Air for FREE.   Orders placed by 1pm PST can be shipped out the same day.  Return shipping is included with each rental order.  2nd Day and Overnight shipping is available for an additional fee.  Saturday delivery can be arranged with customer service.

Do you offer service outside of the United States?

No. The WifiRents Mobile Broadband service is available in the United States and US Territories only.  Shipping and internet service outside the US is not offered.  You will be responsible for hefty roaming fees if our equipment is used outside the U.S.  Contact customer service if you would like a recommendation of an international mobile broadband service provider.

Which type of mobile broadband card is the fastest?

All types (usb, type2, and expresscard) of mobile broadband cards we carry use the same technology inside and get equally fast speeds.  The only difference is the way it connects to your computer.

Is there a limit on the amount of data I can use?

Yes.   All data cards from both AT&T and Verizon have a 5GB data transfer limit per month.   So if your rental was for 1 week, you are guaranteed 1.25GB of data transfer which is 25% of the 5GB limit.   We do not charge for overages but service may be suspended if the limit is reached.

What this means is that these data cards are great for typical email and internet surfing. They are not recommended for downloading movies, streaming music, or other high data use activities as this will reach your data limit quickly.

How do I know the equipment will work when I receive it?

Testing and re-testing.  To assure you get reliable equipment every time you order from WifiRents, all equipment is tested immediately before being shipped out.  The equipment is then re-tested once it has been returned.

Is there a deposit?

No deposit is taken.    Your credit card will be preauthorized for the replacement cost of the equipment in the amount of $200 for data cards and $250 for routers.    In the event the equipment is damaged or not returned, this will be charged to your credit card.

What is your return and cancellation policy?

Orders cancelled before they have shipped will receive a full refund.    Orders that have shipped are not eligible for a refund.    Cancellation requests should be made to Customer Service.

What if I return the equipment late?

No problem, keep your equipment as long as you like.  After your rental period has ended, you will automatically be charged the daily rate printed on your invoice until your equipment is checked in with the shipper for return.  There are no additional penalties or late fees.

Can I extend my rental contract?

Yes. Simply place another order for the same equipment and choose the new rental period you would like to apply to your existing rental.  Make a note in Customer Notes during checkout.

How fast is the mobile internet connection?

The connection speed is influenced by many factors such as which cellular carrier you choose, which speed they offer from the closest cell tower, and signal interference such as walls or electrical noise.    As a general guideline, you will find the fastest speeds available in heavily populated areas such as metropolitan areas and airports.

What if I lost the pre-paid return packaging and/or label?

Simply contact us for a new shipping label and use your own packaging.

We will email you a new label for you to print out and tape to your package.
